We all know how to use spell checker in MS Word. Word will also give you tips if it notices a sentence doesn't look quiet (oops, quite) right. But no matter how hard you try, that little green squiggly underline just won't go away.
Spell checkers won't know that you have used "pair" instead of "pear" in your sentence. Only a pair of eyes will know it's wrong. Don't let the first pair of eyes to see the mistake be your lecturers, teachers or managers.

Proofreading or Copyediting?
Proofreading involves checking for grammar, punctuation, spelling and usage. Copyediting is more involved. It involves all of the proofreading tasks and also includes verifying consistency, chronology and fact of the information.
Turnaround Time
For documents 3,000 words or less, we will have your edited copy back to you within 24 hours. For any documents greater than 3,000 words, we will advise expected turnaround time after a quick look at your document.
Documents with legal, medical or other complex terminology will take a little longer.
We will send you the original document, a copy with the edited comments on it and the final copy which is ready to be published or submitted.

We will provide a quote for any job prior to commencement, which will be based on a quick look at your document. If you accept our quote, we will require a 10% deposit (for orders over $100) to commence the work.
Light proofreading (grammar, punctuation and spelling) $0.015 per word Copyediting (proofreading plus context, chronology and facts) $0.045 per word
There will be a 10% surcharge for any document containing significant amounts of legal, medical or other technical terminology.
There is no minimum charge.
Example 1: A 5,000 word document requiring light editing would cost $75.00. If it contained medical terminology, an extra $7.50 would be added, taking the total to $82.50.
Example 2: A 10,000 word report requiring major editing and rewriting would cost $450.00, if it contained no technical terminology.
